Snakes and ladders

You slither, you hiss
You embrace, you kiss
I wither, I miss
My disgrace, my bliss

He hallows, she mellows
He bellows, she follows
He wallows, she swallows
How hollow, how shallow

I watch, you mock
The cradle won't rock
They botch, they dock
The ladle won't wok

You slither, and smother
Hither and thither,
I gather their blather
And lather your tether

Interesting...
Poetry I believe is left to the interpretation of the reader just as art to the viewer, but I'd like to know what inspired you to write this.
